In this first semester of Maritime Technical English 1, we will review some knowledge that you likely already have about the English language, and learn new content to help you gain a basic understanding of various topics, such as cardinal numbers, ordinal numbers, countries, nationalities, the alphabet, maritime code, crew ranks and roles, parts of a vessel, places on board, working and leisure activities, among others. You will also learn about basic grammatical functions to formulate different kind of sentences in the correct grammatical order (affirmative sentences, negative sentences, interrogative sentences, WH-questions, short and long answers).

Keep in mind that your success in this new learning will depend on how hard you work, specifically how many hours you devote to studying and practicing the content. Remember that nowadays there is a wealth of information online and various tools to help you improve your learning.
